Whisky makers of dufftown
Few families have built their own distillery with their own bare hands.
But that’s exactly how William Grant started
writing our story.
윌리엄 그랜트는 9명의 자녀, 1명의 석공과 함께 평생의 꿈인
자신의 증류소를 건축하기 시작했습니다.
그는 이 증류소의 이름을 ‘글렌피딕’으로 지었으며,
‘글렌피딕’은 게일어로 ‘사슴이 있는 계곡’을 의미합니다.
마침내 1887년 12월 25일, 1년여의 공사 끝에 글렌피딕 증류소가

Prohibition is in full swing. William’s grandson Grant Gordon joins the family firm, surprises the industry and increases whisky production. As the decade and the law turns, we are one of only six distilleries still operating in Scotland. Ready to meet a new surge in demand for fine, aged whiskies.

1959
Sandy Grant Gordon, great grandson of William, is so proud of our single malt that he makes Glenfiddich the first to be actively promoted outside Scotland. Consumers around the world used to drinking blended whisky, are initiated to the delights of single malt. Until then a well-kept secret of the Scots.
1963
A special time at our Distillery. We celebrate our 100 year anniversary with
a centenary bottling commemorating our
founder and his dream to create ‘the best dram in the valley’.

Each of the single malts in our flagship collection is intriguing and distinctive, with a unique character. Our family has been making Scotch since 1887. It tastes as good now as it did then.

NOSE
Distinctively fresh and fruity with a hint of pear. Beautifully crafted and delicately balanced.
TASTE
Characteristic sweet, fruity notes. Develops into butterscotch, cream, malt and subtle oak flavours.

A long smooth and mellow finish.

Grande Couronne is the epitome of opulence, Its very name, meaning crown in French is the promise of the excellence in each drop of this precious single malt.

NOSE
Vibrant and lively with an abundance of toasty oak sweetness. Reminiscent of a French pâtisserie, freshly-baked Tarte Tatin and buttery choux pastry.
TASTE
Deep, velvety smooth and indulgently sweet. Café crème with soft brown sugar and a hint of spice.
finish
Very long-lasting sweet oak.

NOSE
A deeply layered expression of dried fruits, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and ripe black cherries. Completed with subtle waves of gentle wood smoke, polished leather and cloves.
TASTE
A luxuriously full and silky smooth taste, with memories of past releases in every nuanced note. Evolving from deep dried fruit notes to rich fruitcake, dates, raisins and stewed apples, before giving way to dry oaky notes, with subtle hints of bitter chocolate and peat.
